Meet Liam : Our CMN Champion

Two years ago, we introduced you to Liam, a resilient 8-year-old battling cystic fibrosis. Liam's journey involves daily medication to ease breathing and prevent lung infections. The introduction of the "miracle drug" Trikafta has transformed his life, allowing him to gain weight, grow stronger, and even take on track and field, where he ranked an impressive 54th.

At almost 9 years old, Liam is thriving, enjoying school and embracing his favorite subject, Math. Liam, a published author, continues his charity work, collaborating with the John Tavares Foundation and meeting the Prime Minister. His commitment to giving back is evident, as he and his mother collected and distributed 200 stockings filled with gifts to SickKids Hospital this Christmas.

Liam's remarkable journey serves as a powerful reminder of the possibilities when met with resilience and compassion. We extend heartfelt thanks to the dedicated hospital staff who go above and beyond for patients like Liam, treating both physical and psychological scars. Thanks to your generosity, our customers, we've raised over $1,113,465 for local hospital foundations, making miracles for children like Liam possible.

Sick Kids Hospital continues to stay close to Liam and his families’ hearts, with the outgoing 8-year-old constantly thinking of ways to try to give back to other children.

As Liam turns 9, his dreams of becoming a police officer or hockey player continue to fuel his determination. He's grown taller, started skating, and remains a devoted Leafs fan, with Black Panther still holding the spot as his favorite superhero. Liam's journey is a testament to the impact of hope, determination, and the support of a caring community.

Liam's story is a powerful reminder that with resilience, determination, and compassion, even the most challenging circumstances can be overcome. His journey has been remarkable, and it serves as an example of what is possible when we never give up hope.
